Viridor has introduced a 'Responsible Purchasing Policy' which complements and reinforces good practice already in place, such as the Project Management System and raises awareness of health and safety and environmental issues affecting procurement.
Viridor will purchase goods and procure services, which as far as possible reflect up-to-date specifications or standards for environmental sustainability.
To implement this policy a series of procedures have been issued describing the methodology for the evaluation and selection of critical suppliers/contractors that may affect the quality of products and services supplied by Viridor to our customers, or whose activities, products or services have significant environmental impacts or health and safety risks.
